SCANTECH has a dedicated and ISO 17025-accredited calibration laboratory. The laboratory is staffed with certified technicians to perform calibration, per the rules of ISO 17025 accreditation, for the 3D scanners we manufacture.

ISO 17025:2017 is an internationally recognized quality management standard that specifies requirements for testing and calibration laboratories. Accredited laboratories operate in accordance with its requirements in terms of quality management and techniques.

Laboratories that conform to this document shall operate competently and generate valid results. They shall meet the technical requirements in terms of personnel proficiency, testing and calibration methods, quantity traceability, result report, and others. These requirements are used to evaluate the technical ability of laboratories in calibration and testing, which helps to guarantee the reliability and high quality of products and services.

OTHER CERTIFICATIONS AND COMPLIANCES

All handheld 3D scanners manufactured by Scantech have received the CE marking, which is a key indicator of a product’s compliance with European Union legislation.

The CE marking allows producers of electronic products to sell those in the European Economic Area. This marking certifies that the product met safety, health and environmental protection requirements.

Scantech’s KSCAN-Magic, SIMSCAN, iReal M3 line-ups of 3D scanners are committed to meeting all requirements of the European Union’s (EU) RoHS (Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Directive. This directive requires product design strategies for a better environment for electrical and electronic equipment sold in EU countries.

Scantech’s KSCAN 20 lineup of 3D scanners adhere to the European Union’s 2012/19/EU Directive, which is legislation that oversees the recycling or reuse of the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
